UMAC-CORE Marine Phytoplankton is sold in capsules and in liquid form.

The reason why we consider UMAC-CORE Marine Phytoplankton sold in capsules to be a scam is because their 500mg capsules have 250mg maltodextrin (a filler), and only 250mg of Marine Phytoplankton proprietary blend. There are three different marine diatoms in their proprietary blend (skeletonema costatum, thalassiosira aestivalis, thalassiosira nordenskioeldii) which all look very beautiful under a microscope, but rate very low on the nutritional scale. They are a marine diatom with a large silica shell, which most silica forms are indigestible, and some forms are even harmful to your health.

Keep in mind that the most nutritionally rich plankton species will be green like tiny little vegetables of the sea. But marine diatoms that are mostly silica will be white and normally far less beneficial for human health, if any at all. (See examples 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, below for further explanations)

The reason why we consider liquid UMAC CORE Phytoplankton to be a scam is because they store their plankton in a Glycerin watery solution that they claim has 250mg of Marine Phytoplankton per serving. But we strongly disagree! And we’re sure you will too once you view our photos. Glycerin is a neutral, sweet-tasting, colorless, thick liquid, and it appears to be the only thing that is in their bottle because as you can see from the photos below, there’s nothing but clear liquid inside. Nutritionally rich Marine Phytoplankton is green! So something is WRONG just by looking at it!

First, you can see that our see-through veggie capsules are dark green in color due to the nutritionally rich Marine Phytoplankton inside. UMAC-CORE see-through capsules are white which should be your first warning sign right there that something is wrong.

Next, we added 2- 500mg capsules (1-Gram) to each glass and then stirred, but we already noticed that the UMCA-CORE wasn’t dissolving into the water very well and would even stick to our spoon. Notice the UMAC-CORE glass is only a little cloudy but still mostly clear.

Now, since UMAC-CORE has a proprietary blend, we figured we would add 40 capsules of their plankton product to see if we could get the phytoplankton to separate in the water enough to see the actual plankton color and how fast it would sink, like our other examples we’ve showed you. And as you can see, it is so loaded with silica that it floats like a boat!

Then we tried to stir it over and over again and it simple would not mix with the water, but instead turned into a large lump.

We then took the lump out and let it dry completely, and it became hard as a rock! This is just 40 of the capsules from a 90 capsule bottle. Can you imagine consuming 90 capsules of this stuff! WOW!

Next is UMAC-CORE liquid Marine Phytoplankton. We again added 1-serving to the glass on the right… can you see anything???

So we figured what the heck, let’s just add THE WHOLE BOTTLE to the glass, and still… can you see anything???

Not that we needed to do this, but before adding the whole bottle to the glass, we poured some out on a clear plate so you can see exactly what is inside. And just so you know, it taste like semi-sweet water, which is most likely because of the Glycerin that they added to the water.
